How and When to Do an Adjustment
First adjustment
can be done 4 to 8 weeks
post-op (1-2 ml)
According to weight evolution
0.4 ml = 0.5 mm adjusted
Always use Huber tip
Use sterile saline
Check volume before adjustments
Use a 3-5 ml Syringe
Maximum fill is 4 cc
X-ray of abdomen
Barium swallow
• patient standing up
• check passage and pouch size
Patient in decubitus, place Access Port needle
under flouroscopic control
Check volume inside the band before adjusting
